Shugo Imahira:Merit Champion Title, Mercedes-Benz Total Point Rankings, Par or Better Average, and MVP.
Shaun Norris:No.2 on the Money Ranking was awarded for Putting Average.
Gunn Charoenkul:No.2 on the Mercedes-Benz Total Rankings was awarded with G.I.R. Percentage.
Chan Kim:Eagles per Round Average Award and Driving Distance Award.
Ryo Ishikawa:Birdie Average Award
Ryuji Masaoka:Sand Save Award
Yuki Inamori:Driving Accuracy Award
Todd Beak:Total Driving Award
During the ceremony, we chatted with some of the "International Players" on the Tour.
Anthony Quayle will be married on coming Sunday. When he was asked, "who is this lucky girl?", he responded "I am the lucky boy." He will head back home tonight and get married to Sophia on December 15, then go on for the Australian PGA next week. Congratulations!
Matthew Griffin will head home ASAP too, since his lovely newborn son, Jack waits for Daddy to come home soon. Congratulations to you too, Matthew.
Shaun Norris is also all packed up ready to fly home said, "I am leaving right after this ceremony, can't wait". He had very tough year, but managed to play strong and gave a great excitement until the very end with the match for the Order of Merit race with Shugo. His sincere charm was also shown thoughout the year, as he always praises the fellow players.
Chan Kim said, "I thought I would be happy if I make it into the top 65, but I can't believe I did so well from losing a full year last season." He will start from Singapore Open, on to NZ Open then come back to Japan in April.
Brad Kennedy showed a great fight with Ryo Ishikawa yesterday in the playoff at JT Cup said, "I do regret losing, but I had a good fight. I will be in Australian PGA next week and since I am at No.3 on the Money Rankings on that Tour, if I do well, I might get crowned over there." Good Luck!!
Brendan Jones, always a gentleman greeted us with a smile. He said he will take long vacation from golf and will be fully energized and be back at Japan Tour's season opening in April.
