【No.2】 New Year's greetings from JGTO Chairman Isao Aoki

In the fall, regulations for non-resident players entering Japan was relaxed at last, and the players gradually returned, but it was far from the original form.
In spite of such a situation, 10 Japan Golf Tour tournaments, and 5 exhibition tournaments were held with the support of sponsors which raised their hands to help the Men's Tour. Once again, we would like to thank the organizers and everyone involved.

I myself felt many frustrations since we could not hold tournaments, we would not give the players the opportunity to play, and above all, we could not show golf fans all over the country the powerful performance of the players directly.
I also made some new discoveries.
With the COVID situation, I continued to think about how to connect with our golf fans and deliver my feelings, and I actively disseminated messages using SNS, In that process, I was able to sense many people's passion for tournaments and golf, and received a lot of feedback from fans. Once again I realized that the existence of a professional golfer can energize the society and people.
In 2021, we, JGTO, will do our utmost to contribute to the recovery of the society. I truly believe that now is the time for the organizers who hold the tournaments, all the people involved in the tournaments, and the golf fans all over the country to unite to further evolve the Japan Golf Tour into the future.

The Japan Golf Tour is scheduled to operate in 2020 and 2021 as one season, and in that sense, we are still in the middle of the season.
We recently announced the schedule for this year, but if we include the tournaments that are being finalized, we will be holding the same number of tournaments as 2019, or more.
We hope that the Tour will resume in the spring and that the players will be able to show their performance in front of many spectators.

Thank you very much for your continued support.
