Japanese Abroad: Hisatsune makes comeback with T10 finish in Mexico

Ryo Hisatsune enjoyed another top-10 finish on the PGA Tour after firing a final round three-under-par 68 to finish in tied-10th at the Mexico Open on Sunday.

The 22-year-old, who is playing in his second full season on the PGA Tour, compiled a four-day total of 14-under-par 270 to end his week at Vidanta Vallarta six shots behind eventual champion Brian Campbell of the United States.

It was a welcome relief for Hisatsune as he started the week, having missed the cut in his last two starts.

Hisatsune had previously finished T10 in the Barracuda Championship 2023 and T6 in the ZOZO CHAMPIONSHIP 2023. His best result on the PGA Tour was a tied-third result at the Wyndham Championship last year.

Takumi Kanaya, meanwhile, closed with a 274 to finish tied-32.
