Season-opening Token Homemate Cup to raise curtains for 2025 JGTO season

 


The season-opening Token Homemate Cup is set to lay down the marker for what promises to be yet another exciting 2025 JGTO season when it gets underway at the Token Tado Country Club in Nagoya on Thursday.

 

After a four-month wait since Takumi Kanaya emerged as the 2024 JGTO Money Ranking champion, fans will welcome the return of a brand-new season where a minimum of 24 tournaments offering members a total prize purse of more than JPY 3.4 billion (approximately US$21 million).

 

The traditional Token Homemate Cup curtain raiser at Token Tado Country Club in Nagoya offers a total prize purse of JPY 130, 000,000 (approximately USD 900,000) and is expected to ignite fireworks once again as a host of international players battle with the top Japanese players for early honours on the JGTO.

 

The 132-man field will feature established JGTO winners, such as Ryo Ishikawa, Hideto Tannihara, Kazuki Higa and international winners, Philippines’ Juvic Pagunsan, South Africa’s Jbe Kruger and Australia’s Brad Kennedy.
